Checking for Charity at

Framingham Co-operative Bank

supports Sudbury’s Buddy Dog

FRAMINGHAM, MASSACHUSETTS, January 4, 2010 … Robert P. Lamprey, chief executive officer of Framingham Co-operative Bank, announced today that the Bank’s new Checking for Charity initiative will benefit Buddy Dog Humane Society, Inc.

Located on Boston Post Road in Sudbury, Buddy Dog is a non-profit animal welfare organization dedicated to finding homes for homeless dogs and cats.

For each new personal or business checking account opened during the promotion, Framingham Co-operative Bank will donate $10 to Buddy Dog in support of its mission to give homeless animals “a new lease on life.” Buddy Dog information will be on display at the Bank’s offices, along with collection boxes for the convenience of those wishing to donate to the organization.

The Bank’s initial Checking for Charity program earlier this year resulted in a $5,000 donation to the American Cancer Society and Ovations for a Cure, to help increase awareness, support research, and play a role in cancer prevention. The program also gained national attention as the second-place winner in the “Impact” category of the American Bankers Association’s 2009 Financial Marketing Awards competition.

Framingham Co-operative Bank is a state-chartered institution established in 1889. The Bank has full-service offices at 828 Concord Street and One Lincoln Street and a Loan Center at 160 Cochituate Road, all in Framingham, and provides online banking services at FraminghamBank.com.

The Bank is a member of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) and a member of the Share Insurance Fund (SIF).
